TonettaEnter the weird and wonderful world of Tonetta through the queer songs complemented with even more bizarre visual performances. The whole Tonetta package have a sexual and oddly fantastic taste that is hard to describe and well… perhaps just a little too creepy for some. Tonetta’s lyrics are brilliant and often hilarious, suggesting all kinds of sexual activity that you can and can’t imagine.

The music videos are purposely lo-fi with minimal drum programming usually performed with Tonetta dancing solo half-naked rather lewdly, while wearing women’s clothing, make-up, face painting, masks, wigs, or stockings, all in a perverse manner that will shock and awe the pope and bring down the entire Vatican establishment. If you want to listen to the songs without the video then they themselves are quite catchy, easy and fun to listen to though one positively have to watch the video to fully experience Tonetta.

From Toronto, Canada, Tonetta is not just  another internet oddity but a real artist in his own right and has produced a prolific number of videos, and less known to many is that Tonetta is also a visual artist (see his work here). But perhaps we’re wrong about all this, perhaps Tonetta is a just riddle too hard to decipher, and some questions are best left unanswered.

You can find Tonetta’s album (in vinyl) and view some of his artwork at Black tent Press
